Full Name:Aradhna Madireddi
As a citizen of the world and as a risk taker, I enjoy traveling. The best part of going to new places is being able to try various foods, as well as learning their unique history and culture. I have also fallen in love with being in front of the camera. I have always been fascinated by what goes on behind the scenes of movies and T.V. shows. I never imagined that I would get the opportunity to become so involved with media and production. Today, I have my own T.V. show on the side which has also allowed me to widen my social circle and connect with like-minded individuals. As many people ask me – is this an interest that I would like to pursue as a career? In all honesty, I am not sure, but who knows what the future has in store for me.
What are you doing presently?
Many people often assume that the T.V. show is my full-time career. They are often surprised to know that there is another side to my life. I am a web designer and developer by trade, and thoroughly enjoy my job. IT is often stereotyped for being mundane and lacking creativity. However, that is not at all the case. I am fortunate that I get the freedom to apply my artistic and technological skills to the fullest. I am also the advisor for the Herndon Chapter of Leos Club, an organization that allows high school students to volunteer and give back to the community. This is my way to connect with the next generation, and still be considered “cool” by kids today.
What are your future plans?
Although I am unsure as to how far I would like to get into the media business, I have always dreamed of starting my own production company. I am a very detail-oriented person which is a must in the field. That being said, I try not to plan too much for the future. I believe in living in the present.
Why do you want to participate in the pageant?
This pageant acts as a platform that will allow me to venture into fields I would have never considered before. It gives me the confidence to prove to the world that the right balance of brains and beauty does exist. As a result, I can be a role model to young girls who might be interested in science/technology, but are too afraid to pursue their interests, because they believe that they will not be considered as beautiful. For me, it is all about breaking barriers and pushing past society’s norms.
Talent you plan to do for pageant (Please include song name if doing a dance, this can be changed later):
A dance that will involve some comedic elements and a bit of cross-dressing. Guess you’ll have to come out and see for yourself.
What 3 words sum you up?
1. Fearless – I have learned that fear is truly your worst enemy. Constantly thinking about the worst-case scenario will only make you miserable and unsure of yourself. I believe in understanding and assessing the situation, and leaving the rest up to fate and destiny.
2. Forgiving – No, this does not mean that I allow people to treat me like a doormat. However, everyone makes mistakes and it is important to give second chances.
3. Adaptive – I am able to adjust to new environments and people, because I go in with an open mind. This not only contributes to my overall well-being and happiness, but also allows me to learn new things and meet new people with different mindsets.
What is an interesting fact about you that not many know?
I am a first degree black belt in karate. I am not sure if I can still karate-chop a piece of wood; so no that will not be happening during the pageant. I also love to write poetry. Sadly, it’s something I have given too much attention to, but I would definitely like to spend more time writing.
If you were a super hero, what would your super power be?
I would want to be able to enter a room and make it clean automatically. I am very particular when it comes to organizing things, so that would definitely be a very useful super power.
If you could take three things to a deserted island what would they be and why?
1. A water purifier – we’re on an island, which means there is water around us, but the impurities would have to be remove.
2. An emergency supply kit – this would include food and a first aid kit.
3. A boat – to get off the island at my own free will
Most embarrassing moment:
I went in for a job interview and had not eaten anything that day. When the interview was over, my interviewer escorted me to the front. I began feeling dizzy and before I knew it, my face was pressed against the cold tiles of the floor. What a way to make a first impression! The good news – I still got the job.
Watching the 79-year-old grandmother who rocked the stage on Britain’s Got Talent. Age is just a number. If you put your mind to something, you will definitely be able to do it.
I am a people’s person, and love to be surrounded by family and friends. My worst nightmare is being alone.
If you knew today was your last day on Earth, how would you spend it?
I would fly to Mars with my family and closest friends, and permanently move there. That would be my last day on Earth and first day on Mars.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten:
Live and let live.
Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?
I’d like to be a better version of myself, as a daughter/granddaughter, friend, wife/mother (maybe), and as a human being.
