Sneha is a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh studying Neuroscience, Chemistry, Professional Writing, and Spanish.
With a Master’s degree in Kathak under her wing, Sneha not only teaches classes in Kathak and Bhangra but also handles operations at Nrityaki Dance Academy. In her free time, she loves to write, cook, play guitar, and just have fun! She is also committed to working for the Habitat for Humanity and the University of Pittsburgh’s Hospital for Children. She’s the chair for the foundation of international medical relief for children and has volunteered over 650 hours in the past years. Her humbling experiences serving the local communities around the world have motivated her to pursue the Pediatric and Neonatal field in the future.
She‘s found a creative way to weave her passion for dance and medicine into a patient care program at the UPMC hospital: The Dance Movement Therapy program. It’s designed to promote healing and encourage a more positive environment for patients. She aspires to use the Miss India DC platform as a bridge to a larger community to further her impact on society and to further inspire others around her.
